Roles and responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
• Coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Own the month-end and year-end close process
• Regular review of all GL’s on a monthly basis to ensure that the book closure is done accurately.
• This includes ensuring that all revenue and costs are accounted before the close of the books.
• Prepare and publish monthly financial statements
• Analyse the data in the monthly financial statements and present in-sights to the management team
• Ensure all statutory compliances are in place
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Ensure that a strong FSCP (Financial system close process) is in place
• Ensure that the DOA approved by the board is followed across the organization
• Work with the AR and AP teams to ensure monthly/quarterly Reconciliation with all vendors as well as customers are in place
• Ensure periodic physical verification of fixed assets and inventory is carried
  out.
